Determining model type using snmp

Does anuyone know if a OID/MIB that will tell me if a device is a cat os or cat ios ?

You can determine the model from the SNMP OID. And, if you know your Cisco models, you could then deduce whether that device is CATOS or IOS.

Huh ???? Ofcourse the model number can be obtained from the SNMP OID. Thats exactly what Im looking for ... I am very fluent with the models of cisco devices in addition to having a chart on my office wall defining all models. However, when exploring an unknown network, you can deduce nothing ....
