Does anyone know any resource/tool/company that can give a fair market value of an installed Nortel Opt 81c + 3 Opt11c systems? We just found out our former boss financed our telephone system with a FMV buyout clause (instead of a $1.00 buyout) As the system has a much longer useful life than 4 years -and we love it- (the leasing company actually told us to "replace everything -it would be cheaper"), I need to determine the value of the system to not be held hostage to the leasing company's inflated price that they will hit us with. (Bottom line, we already paid for the system, now at the end of this lease, we have to pay for it again! - at whatever price the leasing company tells us - unless I can come up with the actual value of a 50 month old PBX.)

the fmv and the replacement cost are going to be a long way apart. recently missed a 81 c with 400 stations, and symposium, mer mail (i didn't need) cards ipe's 4 network groups 12 pri's etc (the 400 stations were 3900 series) just over 100K.. i can't sell a smposium for that price, loaded

Were just ending leases on some Norstars that are about 6 to 8 years old and the leasing company wants abour 2/3 of what it would cost to buy a new system so were replacing them with BCM 400's. good luck with your buyout.
