Hi All,

Is there any method to determine the Registration point of a dll/ocx? Specifically, if you have several copies of a dll/ocx on your Win2k machine, is there any way to determine WHICH dll/ocx is registered? I'm having difficulty installing some software, and after going through all the dependency files, and using the dependency walker provided by microsoft, I KNOW the dll name that should be registered, but after performing a search for that dll, I find that there are several copies of that dll with different modify dates. How can I determine WHICH one Windows is looking at?

Thanks for your help
Dave

Hello StormbringerX,

With either clsid or pid ready, the default setting of the InProcServer32 subkey will usually specify the exact location of the control being registered. Or, I'm missing something?
