I don't think you can. You could check for specific firewalls by examining what is in memory perhaps - but a firewall of which you knew nothing would just be blocking some IP ports.
I guess one way would be to have a webservice running on a server on the internet somewhere - and make calls to it - and seeing if that webservice could connect back to you?
Even then you couldn't be sure if it was a firewall or some other failure en-route.
I am prepared to be wrong on this though.
