Desperate for help please

My first post here, it will be a bit long winded, hope you can help me out, well here goes

I have been having problems with my NTL broadband connection for months now, I have a Samsung scm140 cable modem which keeps loosing its connection around 8 times a day, from the log file I get the following errors and I need to know if its a Samsung error code or Cisco.

It seems that when the move happens from vendor 00:05:74 to 00:74:74 I loose the connection

Does anyone know what vendor 00:74:74 belongs to?

yep no use at all

I think it may be a modem issue because looking at arp: unknown hardware address format (0x0008) the correct format should read 0x0800 which is ethernet is it not, come on Cisco peeps you should know this one
