I have ATI radeon grapics and in the advanced display
settings there is a rotation option to 180 degrees (witch becomes horizontally) .
This made the same thing happen for me.
Setting it back on landscape 0 rotation fixed it .
Check for something simular on the users graphic properties.

It's possible that there's a setting in the video adapter's software to adjust the screen orientation, as per SYAR's suggestion.
If not, then see if pressing the Ctrl/Alt/Up Arrow(or Down Arrow) keys fixes things.
If no luck, then check for any strange programs that may be running in the background.
Finally, update the AV progarm with the latest files, and do a virus search.
