I'm not sure what I did but my Win XP Pro desktop is now larger than my laptop LCD and I need to scroll to the left and right to see either side. The same with teh top and bottom of the desktop. There aren't scroll bars but when I move my mouse off the screen, the desktop scrolls. It's rather annoying as you can imagine.

Any help is appreciated.

Try System Restore on the incorrect Desktop.

You could also check your settings in Control Panel/ Display/ Settings

Displays the current screen resolution settings for the monitor whose video adapter appears in Display. Drag the slider to specify the screen resolution you want. As you increase the number of pixels, you display more information on your screen, but the information decreases in size.

There is also a Troubleshooting tab available there.

surferboy30,
Your desktop "screen resolution" is set to a higher setting.
Try reducing your settings to 1024 x 768 and things should return to normal.
Right click on the desktop and choose properties/settings to change this setting.
