I am running windows XP Pro on 2 computers.
On one computer, with the same background, the icons and text are over the background, that fade with the background(looks like nothing but the actual icon is on top)
While the other computer, there is a blue block surround each icon, making it look tacky.
Was wondering if anyone knew a fix for this annoying problem.
Thanks all

Maybe a program like this will help you. I have played with it on XP and it seems to work OK.

Display Properties/ Desktop/ Color. You could try fiddling around with the color to mask or match it into the background.

Use the Files and Transfer Wizard and transfer your settings from one machine to the other.

That should of worked, and thanks, but with TransparencyW there is still a blue background around my icons, maybe i did something wrong?

I think you might have to disable Active Desktop which is enabled by default in XP.

Enable or Disable

Try using Kelly's Reg fixes to do it.

bcastner had it, to get your icons to not have the blue background... Right click on "My Computer" and select Properties, click the Advanced Tab, Click Settings in the Performance section. Scroll down the list and put a check in the box for "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop".

thanks that did it,i had everything turned off for performance.
Sometimes even with it on, it gets messed up, but nothing a click on off can't fix.
Thanks all!
