Ok guys
My desktop freezes up when I click on any icon and from there it just hangs. Where do I start troubleshooting it?????

Start by assessing how the problem could have started...
Added any programs?
New Hardware?
Changed any configuration parameters?
Can you boot to Dos?
Is it only the mouse that hangs or can you go to the run prompt and type something?
Check what programs are running in Task manager.
There are many paths you could take to clarify what the real problem is... good luck.

Also try checking your event logs as they may have useful information about what it hanging you up.
