'Desktop' & Briefcase Icons

Hello,

I'd like to know if I can hide my Briefcase icon from view, (I just don't use it).
My 'Desktop' icon (the deskpad with notepaper and pencil) seems to have wandered off the toolbar onto the desktop ..lol when I try to move it back to creates a short cut???? How do I move it back to where it belongs???

'finally' I figured it out.

I must have had a bad day the first time around trying to drag that Desktop icon to the toolbar...
Used Explorer to drag the Briefcase icon to the Start menu was all I had to do to move that one. ~Eeegads~
