Desk top refreshes/reloads when clicking Icons

I've got an laptop running xp pro and the icons on the desktop reload whenever you click on an icon or try to open programs, normally I reload the O.S but in this case that isn't an option. Has any one seen this before, or herd of a fix for this?

My desktop reloads (goes black and comes back on in about a second) when i right click on an icon sometimes
This is Nvidia, and there graphics card.
Nwiz is the process i think it makes the Nvidia Digital Display.
Totally annoying it is stoppable i just cant be botherd with it!
