I'm a novice to desktop graphics but I've been tasked to design a logo for our band. The logo will be used on business cards, letterhead, band backdrops, and promotional stuff like drink holders, frisbee's etc.

I have Illustrator 9.0 and Photoshop 6.0. I've been told that I should utilmately create a vector based graphic that scales and that print shops want an eps file to to import into their systems. Any guidance on where to start. I drew a graphic already, scanned it in, coverted it to a vecotr eps file and brought it into Illustrator 9.0. I'm having problems adding color.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it. I know I'm asking basic question so if there is some general info page that someone knows about, again, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Frank
