I am currently designing a Citrix solution for apporx. 150 users distributed over 6 offices. As you know there are several configurations possible for the IMA store and I would like to hear your input:
- I feel the Access DB sollution is not fit for this kind of users. It's fine for really small enviroments (single server sollutions and test labs)...
- I can deploy an MSDE database which is cheap and easy. Major issue is the lack of redundancy however. Another question is where to place the MSDE database. In such a small enviroment the Domain Controller would be a possibility but I like to keep my Domain Controllers dedicated for DNS, DHCP, WINS and AD. I could place it on a dedicated machine but wouldn't this be overkill? I have got another machine which will be running NAV, Veritas, SUS and alike. Would this be a good location to place the IMA Store?
For the sake of being complete I should also mention the possibility of rolling our two full scaled SQL Servers whith push/pull replication. Technically this is the best sollution (redundancy, performance etc.) but dedicating two SQL servers and purchasing two costly Enterprise Edition licenses for SQL Server is also overkill for such a small enviroment.
What would you suggest???
