.. and all I get when trying to add the update.msi to a group policy is "Add operation failed. Unable to extract deployment information from the package. Run validation on the package to ensure that the package is correct.".. Any ideas what might be causing this? Or, should I just forget the SP2 with all the VIA motherboards around here?

Deploying SP2 w/ MSI fails..

You know what,I had problems with SP2 on my 2000 server it killed my IIS and DNS twice at which point I gave up as I need to reinstall server again and again.
Just this week I downloaded it again,and Guess what it worked and everything seems to be ok now.
I would try again if I were you
