Deploy - IE6 - 500+ PCs - seeking tips

I need to get IE6 on over 500 PCs. I've been reading what I can find. Not sure the best solution.
Have SMS available.
Any suggestions or tips? Horror stories? "Absolutely not this way" stories?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
