Can anyone help,

How do i deploy a application that will create a short cut on the users desktop.

Please please can anyone help

the link you provided is for vb.net, sorry i should have been more clear,

I create a application using visual studios 2005 - Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition.

I have been using the click once to deploy the application but found that i when the users install the application, it doesn't create a short cut onto there desktop.
 
If you follow the VB.NET tutorial, it will show you how to add a desktop shortcut. "Most" VB.NET tutorials encompass VS 2003 - 2005 with very few hitting 2008.

To run the application on the target machine, we need to create a shortcut for the application on the user's desktop. To do this, right click on the Primary Output from MyClock (Active) and select Create ShortCut to Primary Output from MyClock (Active). Rename this newly created entry to MyClock and drag this entry (MyClock) to the user's Desktop in the File System on Target Machine Window.
