Denying Port Connection Using Squid

Hey i know SQUID can block ports but is it possible to configure SQUID to deny connections to certain ports and if so how do you do it?

I know SQUID can't block ports but is it possible to configure SQUID to deny connections to certain ports like Email and IM ports?

Yes it is but it is not the best thing to do.

There has been a similar post a few weeks ago with a guy that refused to use iptables, which is the better thing to do.


You can create acl lists to block ports but, I repeat, iptables is the way to go.

Well yes iptables is a good thing for this but technically i dont want to totally block all ports in our network i just want to restrict/deny users in connecting to some ports which is open to admin users ... any help will be very appreciated ...
