Deny Access - except from main page links

I am a newbie with limited to moderate knowledge of Apache. Please keep this in mind when responding. Thank You.

My Problem - I have been asked to prevent bookmark access to all subpages of a website. In other words, the owners want everyone to be forced to open the main page in order to gain access to the rest of the website. Can this be done by modifying the config files and if so can anyone give me specific instructions on how to accomplish this task?
