Does anyone have any details about denial event 2343. I have looked in the Avaya documentation and found that it means Request reject received - TDM/HP connection but I have no idea what that is.

We have an Avaya CM, 6.3. We are in the process of moving all our DID numbers from TDM to SIP. We have completed this for over 3,000 of our 12,000 DIDs. We have one outlying office that has had nothing but trouble since their DIDs were moved. The trouble is only around faxing. None of our other offices have this much of a problem with faxing over SIP. We have worked with our Avaya business partner to ensure the T.38 codec is set correctly.

Here is a trace of a fax extension that shows the denial event.

What I was told by our business partner is the call would start at G729 because that is the primary audio codec, but once the call is identified at fax the codec will shift to T.38. So on page 2 of ip-codec-set 3 (which is the codec set all our outlying locations use) is set for FAX - Mode t.38-G711-fallback.
