I'm currently supporting an old client (I've adpoted along the way somewhere in life) who runs a Paradox / Interbase system over a network.
The system was written in Delphi 5 - and had been running for about 3 and a half years now.

The client is now wanting to update their Windows 2000 machines (on the server and on client machines) with Service Pack 2 - but is not wanting to do this if there is any question over whether their system will continue to operate.
I've suggested that I would post some messages to understand if there were any known issues that meant we should not update the client machines.

Is anyone aware of any problems that we / I might face following the update of SP2 on the Windows 2000 machines ?

Thanks in advance.
Steve

We are using paradox .db files and interbase on Windows 2000 without any problems.

However I remember there are some problems with the ADO on Delphi 5/6, kept on giving OLE error. I cannot remember howe we solved it, but I it was not realted to the OS.

Windows 2000 is currently in use - our concern is over the install of SP2 on these machines.
Can anyone else suggest that this will be plain sailing / problematic ?

Thanks again.
Steve
