Hiyas!
Recently I have develop the need to do some maintenance programming in Delphi 5 and couldn't find any good/quick howto or tutorials on jumping into the IDE/Delphi in general (its been 10 years). The help in the IDE is not so.. helpful.

Does anyone have any good sites/documents that describes the debugger/IDE?

Thanks

Alia

Upgrade or obtain the help files for 7. The help files for Delphi 7 include the syntax for both C++ and Delphi making a side by side comparison a snap.

I'm not aware of many resources that focus particularly on explaining the IDE, except Marco Cantu's Essential Delphi guide which has at least a chapter on the highlights of the IDE.

When first picking up Delphi 6, I did use "Delphi In Easy Steps" by Brendan Murphy and "Mastering Delphi 6" by Marco Cantu. Obviously, a version-specific guide would be best for a complete match between what you read and what you see on-screen.

A great language reference site to check out is:
