Delphi and CORBA

Hi,

I am responsible for providing a messaging framework between several computers, accessible by several languages (C,C++,Java,Delphi). I was planning to use a solution based on CORBA Notification Service or CORBA Event Service.
I am totally new to Delphi, but it seems that Delphi has a 'built-in' support for CORBA in its standard libraries ? Or does it need a specific ORB (Visibroker, MT_DORB, ...) ?
I have some trouble to find documentation on Delphi since it seems to be commercial.
Please give me a litlle Delphi + CORBA overview !

First: is it too late to go with SOAP? It is so much easier to implement and debug.

Sorry, I do no have personal experience with CORBA beyond the samples myself.
