Hi All,
When sending an email to a certain domain a friend of mine is having trouble sending the emails.
He has no problems to other domains. When sending he receives an email back saying the following:

Subject: Delivery Status Notification (Delay)

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.

Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed.

recipient@domain.com.au (I have withheld email address)

It eventually bounces back to him. This has been happening for a while so its not a temporary thing.
He is running Windows Server 2003 with Exchange 2003.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Tom

Hello,

I had the same problem with several domains.

To correct the problem, I setup either

1. A smarthost and put the smtp server name of my ISP in the SMTP virtual advanced settings

2. Setup external dns servers pointing to my ISP dns servers.

Hope this helps.
