On our Exchange 5.5 server that I inherited, whenever a new mailbox is created, MSmail and CCMail addresses are created for the mailbox along with the SMTP and x400 addresses.

We do not use MSmail or CCMail. Is there any reason to keep these addresses, of can they be removed?

Besides Outlook clients, we do have a few folks connecting using pop. I presume this will not affect that.

Thanks,
Dana

No, you don't need these proxy addresses if you're not swaping mail with these systems. You can remove them by unticking them in the Site Addressing, in Configuration.

Thanks for the tip!
I want to cleanup as much as possible before we start our exch 2k migration.
