deleting/moving of items very slow

Hello,
the deleting or moving of one item in the folder sent items takes approx. 1 minute. The problem occures just in the folder "sent items".
When I delete/move an item in a subfolder of sent items or another folder it's working perfectly.

I have tried to delete/move an item of my "sent items" from another computer with Outlook and with OWA, but the problem is the same.
So I don't believe that it's a local problem of my Outlook.

I'm using Outlook 2002 and Exchange 5.5.

Has someone an idea?

When I noticed the problem, I have had approx. 2.700 itmes in "sent items".
Then I moved all items into a subfolder (called: 2003) of "sent items".
Afterwards I had no items in the "sent items" folder.
So at the moment I have just few items in "sent items", but I still have the problem.
When I delete/move an item in the subfolder 2003 with the 2.700 messages or any other folder it disapears immediately.
So it's just a problem with "sent items"
