Deleting data from tables after specified amount of time???

Is there a way that I can delete data from a table after a specified amount of time (ie. 3 years from the date associated with a record)? I have tried a few different things and I still can't get this to work. I would greatly appreciate any help! Thanks. X-)

Run a delete query - here's how you get 3 years ago:

DateAdd("yyyy",-3,Now())
