Hi - I've been reading through the posts and can see how I can delete the actual announcement 'voice' via the FAC. What would I then need to do to remove the file extension from the PBX in ASA - is it as simple as deleting the extension or do I need to go through VAL Manager to ensure that things don't get corrupt ?

Deleting Announcements

If you delete the announcement using VAL manager you'll be prompted to remove all associated files (in ASA). This will remove the file extension and the physical announcement.
If you have deleted the actual announcement via the FAC then depending on the CM Version you can simply "remove announcement xxxx" or "change announcements" and remove the appropriate translation.

first using the announcement access feature code delete the announcement. (option 3).
Then log into Communication Manager and change announcement x. Blank the fields for that entry and hit save.
Done.
