Running sms 2.0 across 400 machines. Somebody made the decision to reimage all the pcs without telling me so a discovery/client install has gone out to all the machines again and i have loads of collection duplications. Rather than go through each machine and check the guids. would it be ok for me to delete all of the machines in the 'all systems' collection and wait for them all to be discovered again. (would this delete the entries from the other collections too??)

cheers

I would run "newuid.exe" to remove the duplicate guids. Check out "myitforum.com" and search for "duplicate guids". There are numerous articles on this which are very helpful.
