On a windows xp Corporate box, when I'm logged in as administrator, I am seeing an extra account called Guest2, and I cannot delete it. I know there is a way, but I just can't manage to figure it out.

Thanks for the help.

Accounts: Rename guest account. (from Help and Support).

Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options

Description.

Determines whether a different account name is associated with the security identifier (SID) for the account "Guest." Because the Guest account is known to exist on all Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Professional, and Windows XP Professional computers, renaming the account makes it slightly more difficult for unauthorized persons to guess this user name and password combination.

Default: Guest.

Have you tried turning off the Guest account?

Thanks for the reply... the guest2 account is a full administrator account. I didn't put it there, so I'm surprised to see it. The 'guest' account is off.

Other accounts that I create can be deleted, but this account I'm not getting the option to delete it.

Thanks again.
