On a domain controller, the SYSVOL was copied to another drive via copy and paste. As points out, this didn't copy data, but instead created a junction point. The article recommends against doing a cut or copy and paste, but does not say what to do if one has been performed, as is the case I'm facing.

I found a utility from Microsoft called LINKD, but am hesistant to use it to delete the junction point.

Does anyone have any experience with this problem and any suggestions?

I used the LINKD command to delete the junction point with no adverse effects...
