I,m so happy I found this forum, It's fantastic.
Our company has gone through some reductions and I am in the process if cleaning up our Option 81 PBX. Could someone help me in the right direction to cancelling Truck Routes and Disconnecting Tie lines. Thanks in advance

First you would out the trunks in LD 14, then once all the trunks are gone from a route, you can out the route in LD 16. You will need to make sure that route is not in any of your RLI's in LD 86. -Matt

Thanks Matt. To View these, Do I print the Trunk routes in LD 81?

No - trunk routes are LD 21:

LD 21
REQ LTM
CUST 0
ROUT <x>

That will list the TN and member number and DES of each trunk in that route.

To print a RLB in your BARS/NARS setup, do:
LD 86
REQ PRT
CUST 0
FEAT RLB
RLI <x>

That will print the whole RLI and tell you what routes are in that RLI. -Matt

ld 14
out
tie 24 (or did etc)
tn (enter the 1st tn)

that would take out a complete t1, jsut the trunks
then in 16 do a out rdb..

then in 86 prt rlb... to see which rli's are pointing to the ties.. then in ld 87 you'll need to prt cdp for all the dsc tsc and lsc's to find out which number were being set to those ties.. might not let you out the route, if it had an entry in 86....fyi

Now that this is said and done, I would go to Ld 14, out Route 8, then go into LD 16 and out RLI 14, 15 16 and 25? and cross my fingers nothing else goes down. In Load 87, I found that there a few numbers being set to the ties, How do I remove them or is it best to keep them active?

Whoa - don't "OUT" the entire RLI's, unless there are no NXX, NPA, SPN, TSC, DSC, etc assigned to them. What type of route was this? or rather what was it used for? Was it a TIE to a PBX you no longer have? If so, you'll want to out those steering codes also; then you can out the RLI's. -Matt

ld 14
out 23
tie
24 1

that will out the trunks..

then in 87
out the
tsc's

then you'll need to stat and dis dch the dchannel.. to be outed later..then ld 60 stat and disl 24

then out the route in 16... also in 17 prt the adan dch x

a stat in 60 will give you the dch x

It was a link between our main building to another building that has an option 11. We had a tie line connecting the two sites, so people within the company would be able to dial and forward recorded messages internally, Now with cut backs, and a savings af $1200 a month, there is no need for this route. Oh yeah the stering codes, I forgot about those.

you can print the npa's nxx and spn's in go to see if any other calls are going out that route... we send some ld calls out on tie routes so they can route local on the far end.. that is heavnma's concern.. you do need to out the tsc's in 87 so those numbers will go back in the ludn table

I was just making sure it wasn't a route w/ other stuff in it that was local, etc - suddenly no calls would go out :) Proceed :):):) -Matt

Oh yeah, there's a whole bunch on Route 9, I just listed what was associated with route 8.

always pays to check, outed a loop for a guy over the phone once, he didn't know how to out a terq and add a supl in the same slot... he called back and said i had outed the wronge loop... after removing 300 phones...ouch.. had him do a cold restart... otherwise i would have had to but a ticket to show hom how to do a relaod from disk

Yeah that happened to me too, that's why im edgy doing this, and that Black out a few years ago was a disaster for us and the back up tape got fried.
I will check Ld 60 and proceed with my task.
You guys rock, thanks for all your help, You have made my day. :)

best thing you can do is make a new disk, at least once a week and take it out of the switch room.. i make 2 copies a day, and save the two i am replacing, each of them are 12 hours apart or so.. i keep 10 disk, two per day and 5 backup mermail tapes.. 4 partial, and one (weekend) full.. got burned on full backup from the mail.. seems a full backup formats the drive before the install.. the os was on the tape was non-bootable... doing a new install worked great, even nortel couldn't retrieve the users and menu's off of a full backup, with the os in the way... had to retype 1800 non documented voice mail boxes.. just did a list of everyone (7000) users that had fna or hta to 3301... 90 hour weekend
