Deleted Items folder empties arbitrarily 1

Hello.
My boss has complained to me on three occasions in the last 6 months or so about her Deleted Items folder being empty. I check and sure enough, nothing before a certain date (this time its 1/5/04). She assures me she did not accidentally empty this folder, and I have checked her settings to make certain the DI folder doesn't empty on exit and to warn before permanently deleting items.

She uses Outlook 2000 on a W98SE machine. We run an NT network with Exchange 5.5.
We have unlimited email box size, and there are many that have more data than hers.

Any ideas?

Autoarchive settings. Right click on the deleted folder, Properties, Autoarchive tab.

Update: My boss now tells me that it empties on the fifth of the month. Is there a server setting somewhere that I'm missing?
I thought that the only setting was to manually input your own blacklist, but I am probably mistaken.
Also, she is the only one affected, so I'm not sure I believe it's a server setting...
