I need to install a standalone VMAIL and Chinphony II ACD. I fired up the vmail and configured it. Then fired up the ACD NAM and started to configure it, I noticed that I could no longer access the VMail using F981, or F983. If I disconnect the ACD everything works fine. I went into the ACCESS2 on the ACD and foung that VMAIL is loaded on it and that some of the channels we allocated for VMAIL. If I set the MIN and MAX to zero and reboot the ACD I get N*VMAIL BUSY in the display when I use F981 or F983.

I also did a F**xftest and found the following codes in use
F901 to 916, 923, then 980 to 989. I disconnected both units and removed all of the codes. Fired the VMAIL up and tested it. OK. Then fired the ACD up and found it had hijacked the F981 and F983 codes agian. I have tried this four or five times with the same result.

The question I have is how do I delete the voicemail application that is installed on the ACD NAM? Or has anyone else had this issue?

The PBX is running 7.0 and the Vmail NAM is running 4.1

Thanks

You have to rename the Vm file extensions on the C drive on the NAM w/ACD on it. I have done this before, but I don't remember the exact file names. If it isn't straightforward to you, get the doc from Nortel. Be VERY careful what you rename or you may end up with an expensive paperweight.

Hello, we have the same situation where we need to remove the voicemail off the NAM to allow the ACD to run by itself beacuse the customer has installed a Call Pilot to use for voicemail. Can you tell us what files need to be changed?

Thanks
