Hi,

I would like to delegate helpdesk rights to our exchange server to enable our helpdesk staff to create/delete/move mailboxes and ammend email address. Tho nothing else.

The delegation options dont seem to suit my needs, is there any reccommended reading or suitable delegations I can provide to the people?

Thanks

AJ

Create a group in AD. Delegate the group "Exchange Read-only Admin" rights at the Org or Administrative group level.

Thanks, but will this allow a non-admin user to create/delete/move mailboxes? Or does the admin mean rights, but the view only means no rights to the config/queues etc?

Thanks

Yes. That will give them the ability to add/move/delete mailboxes. In addition you may also have to assign them to the "account operators" group in AD so that they can modify the user account.
