Delegate Access - Cannot Send on Behalf Off 1

We have a customer with a problem where we have setup Delegate Access, given the user Editor rights etc. We can view, open emails all ok but as soon as we try to send an email or reply an email on behalf of the other user we get an error message - Cannot send this item. You do not have the appropriate permission to perform this operation.

I cannot see anything wrong, we use this internally every day. The only difference between our internal site and our customers site is that we are running SBS2003 and the customer is running SBS2000 - could this be the problem ?

Any help would be gratefully received.

The mailbox you are trying to open, does that belong to one particular user or is it a shared group mailbox ? If its a shared group mailbox that several users have access to it will have a username and password which you can log onto the PC. Usually one person is the owner. The owner of the shared mailbox needs to log onto the PC as this account then go into Outlook and setup delgate access. If this is not the case can you describe in more detail who has what account and step by step what you are trying to do.
If not a shared mailbox and its a user mailbox have you granted send on behalf of and also under the top level mailbox granted full access so they can edit, delete etc, then applied this to each folder like the inbox, sent items that they need as well.
Need more info.

Sorry should have updated call, I granted send on behalf yesterday, customer emailed me back this morning to say all now working.
