Delayed Block cleanout

Hi,

I've batch jobs running which inserts into a several tables millions of rows & later there is another batch job which queries these records & pushes them into legacy systems. For eg The time gap between insert into a table & selecting from the same table is around 6-8 hours. Every run I get some or the other sql query failing with ora-1555.

Please advice how to avoid this error, the calculation of undo tablespace goes beyond 150G which is not feasible. Please advice.Thanks in advance.
