We have 2 locations which are connected via an MPLS network with QOS enabled. Each local site has QOS switches and inter office calls and calls between the two offices have no problems at all. The issue is when a user from Site A dials a number local to Site B and with short codes I have the call going across the SCN to Site B and dump out their local voice T1....the user on Site A is unable to hear the first few seconds of the converstation of the called party. Example: "Hello this is Tom." The call orginator at Site A only hears: "....is Tom" and happens for nearly every call.
We basically setup every 9, xxxxxxx to go to Site B and there are only a few npa/nxx's that are local to Site A which get routed out Site A's analog lines.
Short code: [9]N;
Telephone number: N;
Line Group ID: 70 (SCN to Site B)
Site A
==================
IP406v2 3.0(69)
5620 IP Phone
Site B
==================
IP406v2 3.0(69)
T1 for local dial tone
Do we need to change a timer? A shortcode? Thanks for everyone's help!
