Degaussed Hard Drives

If an IDE hard drive has been erased by being degaussed, can it still be formated in the normal manner or would it require some kind of low level format? If it would require a low level format, then what tools are available?

Ouch! Degaussing is tough treatment on a HD. I'm sure that you need to lowlevel format it if you want a chance to use it again.

Many BIOS'es have a lowlevel format function. Or go look at the HD manufacturer's home page. Or Google it.
