also \windows\~glc0000.tmp.one is 2 gig the other is 1 gig.
if i do an analize it says to defrag i have done this numerous times and it still shows these 2 files as not defrag.what are they and can i delete them or do something to completly defrag/i also tried in safe mode with nothing
running and i still cant defrag these files.any help.thanks.by the way it is xp home.thanks in advance!!!

celeron866,

Since they are .tmp files you should be able to delete them. Don't forget to empty the "recycle bin".

They are probably two files in use and you might have to delete them from DOS.

I would first reboot into Safe Mode, run scandisk, then run defrag again.

It's up to you whether you really need to delete those 2 files or not. Chances are they might even go away after rebooting...
