Defrag priv database

Hi,

I've tried yesterday to do an offline defrag of my priv database (3.2Gb)! I don't have enough room on my server so I took the database on a test server with exchange install on it !

The operation was succesfull but something strange happened...

Every email sent or received after the 25 jan 2005 where lost contact and calendar item as well ...

I can't figure out this one... could it be because I didn't start my exchange services on my test server after this date ? Why 25 jan 2005 ??

I'll need to run the defrag again soon so I need a solution !

total stab in the dark- it could be because you are running it on another server? dont know. is it possible to put a drive into the server temperarily so you can run the defrag (the extra drive will give you enough space)? also where the data and time setting all ok on the test server, also the location (not set to canadian which is normally windows default instead of gmt UK for example)

Finally I've found a way to free some space on my mail server and the defrag was successfull this time ...

I still don't know what happened last time !
But my problem is solved
