Does anyone know if it is possible to increase the length of announcements?

The announcements are set when you record them. Do you mean the capacity of the announcement cards to facilitate long announcements?

Try to set more slow quantization 16 kbps let you have total length 8 minutes of measages but low quality.
And You can have up to 10 circuit packs of TN755C in the switch to increase up to 80 minutes of meassages length maximum.

If you are out of the space on your current announcement board (the big 4 minute @ 32kbps) the first thing you should do is display your announcements and make sure all currently recorded announcements are being used. If you have extinct announcements ydelte those to free up space.

The next thing to do is lower the speed of generic announcements like: "please hold for..." or "this call may be monitored...", etc.

If you lower the speed of any main announcement(s) make sure you can live with the poor audio quality before you put such an announcement into production.

If you buy an announcement board on on the secondary market make sure you but the 'C' version. Previous versions only hold the announcements in RAM and when the board looses power - your announcements go bye bye.

Avaya's new announcement boards hold 1hr. of announcements and can be backed up to any PC on the network.

The new announcement board only works if you have a R9 system, and a CLAN for LAN connectivity!!!
