Definity /Siemens HiNet VS 1600

Hallo!

Our business centre has Definity Avaya PBX. Now we have one company moving into our building who have HiNet VS 1600 Siemens switch. Is it possible to build on Definity Avaya? Or in general would be great if somebody would pass any info about that Siemens thing!

The VS1600 is a 19" version of the normal Siemens Hicom Office line.
To connect this to a Definity it is best to upgrade to the Siemens Hipath line and then use the Q-sig protocol.

The extension are UPo (Siemens proprietary) or analog.
Trunks are CO or ISDN.

Hallo, Brandaris,

we are located close to Holland Germany. Further to that Siemens Equipment -found out that it is HiPath 3500. Would you know exactly which is interfaces, extensions I would need? And getting familiar now with this QSIG as by now didn't have to deal with that part of Definity...
