Does anyone have the definition for these specific Peoplsoft terms?
·Verticals
·Components
Or is there a resource where I can find all the definitions for Peoplesoft terms?

Hello,

You didn't use these words in a sentence - as PeopleSoft might have used them in the text you were reading, but I will try to define them as I understand them:

* "Components" are renamed PeopleSoft 7.5 and 7.0 Panel Groups. PeopleSoft 8 also provides programatic access to the Components through the Component Interface. Think of Component Interfaces as a simplified, broadened, and more expensive version of the Message Agent

* "Vertical" refers to businesses that generally perform the same services. Some services are financial services, consulting services, retail services, healthcare services, entertainment services. The companies that offer these services are very focused and narrow in their offerings and may be seen as one vertical slice of the economy and are a market of consumers. These markets have very specific needs and operate typically in the same manner. PeopleSoft has created applications to reach these individual and focused market groups, hence PeopleSoft Vertical (Market)Applications.
