Hello,

The current Photoshop file that I am in will not let me "Define Pattern". Does anyone know why this would not be enabled? How would I enable the "Define Pattern" option under the "Edit" menu?

To define a pattern you must first create your pattern and then using the marquee (M) select the area around your pattern and then you can define it for later use.
