I am in a school and we use system policies to force down a common student desktop. I found that if I do not turn on user profiles, we don't get the desktop forced down. So I have user profiles turned on.
However, now that we have some Office 2000 (but still a lot of Office 97), user profiles are causing problems. So I would like the users to NOT save their profile on the local machines.
Is there a registry setting to change the default for the question
"You have not logged on to this machine before. Would you like this computer to retain your individual settings for use when you log on here in the future?" to NO
The students don't even read this question, they just hit enter (Yes) and go on. JL Filler,Wilton Public Schools, Wilton CT
