Hi Guys,
A little help would be very appreciated if possible.
Up until friday i hadn't even touched an SBS server. But over the weekend i have set up the basics with the user accounts & client pc's, i'v also have had allot of trouble setting up the internet connection, and some how during my frustration, I wiped the IP, Subet mask, etc. from the properties (On the wrong network connector). Now i cannot get the server to connect with the three workstations.
It is coming up with the Manual IP address and the workstations are all showing "Private" ones.

If there's any tecnical people out there that dont mind replying in simple terms for me then please go ahead

I would strongly recommend you stop now.

Read up on SBS. An improperly managed SBS server can be the cause of more problems than you can imagine. I'm guessing (purely guessing) you have experience with NON-SBS versions of server... this means NOTHING. I had experience running 30+ windows servers in a datacenter environment... then I worked on SBS THINKING I knew what I was doing. I didn't.

First rule: With Rare Exceptions, USE THE WIZARDS. I hate the wizards myself, but they are actually quite vital to properly setting up SBS. How did you join the machines to the domain? Did you use the server/connectcomputer web site or did you do it manually via the system control panel. You SHOULD have used the connectcomputer web site.

Thanks or replying you two

Firstly, There are two adapters. was planning to use both adapters, but if this continues i might just connect the ISP router straight into the switch

Secondly,
I set up the 3 workstations using the connectmachine on thier IE pages.

All worked fine, but when i had issues with internet, that is when i fiddled with the properties. and now the workstations are off line.

There is no urgency on this but is annoying.

How easy is it to re-install sbs2003. What happens with the licences. Will it still say i have used two?

P.S. Your practically right with the above comment. I am completely new to this and am trying to self train myself.
