Our attempt to create a Legal/Landscape "printer" didn't solve my
problem. So far I've tried two things:

1. Tell Access to print to my default printer as a "Specific Printer.
2. Tell Access to print to the Legal/Landscape printer as a "Specific
Printer"

The results have been the same in both cases. It works for a day or two
after being saved and then something makes Access "slip" and go back to
the "Default Printer". Every time Access goes back to the "Default
Printer" Page Formatting (size of paper and orientation of paper) is
lost.

I have used option 1 above in my past job with great success. The loss
of Page Formatting when the Default Printer is changed is a known
"feature" in Access and has been around for years. Adding a Specific
Printer to each report has always been the work around to this problem.

If your in A2k try turning off the auto correct "feature"

Which version of Access are you using? Access 2000 original has an extremely annoying bug which does this reformatting of reports. It is apparently related to auto name correct or something which can be switched off through tool>Options>General. It never worked for me though. I simply upgraded the program to SR1 and now it doesn't do it anymore. Same deal with the printer. The catch is everyone needs the upgrade. One weak link and the format will be stuffed again.
