Hi:

I am creating a standarised profile for XP Clients through default domain policy where users cannot access Control Panel, C Drives, etc.
I created more settings recently, but however they are not reflected to the Clients anymore. Is it due to the firewall settings? We have an external firewall and recently due to security issues, most of the ports are being closed.

Anyone can advise?

Is there a firewall between the servers and the client PC's?

Also i would suggest not altering the default domain policy instead create a new policy and link it at the level required.

porkchopexpress is correct. The only policy elements that should be used in the default domain policy are related to password security. All other settigns should be done in a new policy.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
