Hi

I have two DECT R4 base stations I am trying to install and connect to an IP500 v2 on 8.1 software. I have followed the manual step by step but end up with a constant flashing blue light on both which ever base station I connect to the customer network. I can ping the IPO from the base station but in system status I constantly see TLS errors as it is trying to connect. "Fatal error on connection" is the message and relates to HTTPS port. I have tried turning off HTTPS in the Base station settings but same happens.

I am going back to site today for round two, so any help would be gratefully received!

Which one of the following Blue LED fit's best?

Blue On - Idle, no calls in progress.
Blue Fast Flash - Starting up or searching for air synchronization.
Blue On/Regular Blink - Calls in progress.
Blue On/Red Blink - Maximum calls in progress.
Blue Slow Flash - Firmware download in progress.
Blue On/Yellow Blink - The IPBS2 is in deployment mode and has air synchronization.
Blue Slow Flash/Yellow Flash - The IPBS2 is in deployment mode and does not have adequate air synchronization.

Kind regards

Gunnar

I just had the same, set a password on the IPDECTService in the security settings and do the same on the Master Basestation.
I could not get provisioning working so I disabled it ( only two phones )

Continuous fast blue flash.

Thanks Intrigrant. I take it the password then goes in the DECT\SYSTEM\PASSWORD field? Do I need to put IPDECTService in the system name field?

The name of the service and password is in General > HTTP but this is only when you need provisioning. Without provisioning it is not used.
Check the following:
DECT > Master set to IPO?
DECT > Trunks > name, ports 1720, ip address IP Office, 1720 when correct it displays as "Active"
DECT > Radio enter a the name and password as setup under MASTER > DECT > System and the IP Adress for the master is 127.0.0.1, for slaves it is the IP Address of the master as status it should display "Connected to Master x.x.x.x"
DECT > Air sync. The Master is set as master and the slave as.. you know, and enter a value for the region, it must be the same on all base stations.

Now go to Device overview > Radios and if all is correct you'll see all basestations in the same region listed. If all is setup well then they will show as synchronized.

You can see if all basestations in the region hav a connection to at least one other basestation ( mandatory! ) by navigating to DECT Sync > Air Sync Overview.

Still got flashing blue light :(

DECT > Master set to IPO? YES
DECT > Trunks > name, ports 1720, ip address IP Office, 1720 when correct it displays as "Active" - I assume any name is ok here? Shows as active.

DECT > Radio enter a the name and password as setup under MASTER > DECT > System and the IP Adress for the master is 127.0.0.1, for slaves it is the IP Address of the master as status it should display "Connected to Master x.x.x.x" - says connected to 127.0.0.1. 2nd base station not connected yet.

DECT > Air sync. The Master is set as master and the slave as.. you know, and enter a value for the region, it must be the same on all base stations. - What region number? I assume 1 is ok if set as 1 on any slaves?

Now go to Device overview > Radios and if all is correct you'll see all basestations in the same region listed. If all is setup well then they will show as synchronized. - Nothing shown under sync. On other attempts "No sync" has been shown but not this time...

Which version is your basestation running?
I have the same on a IPBS1 (different colour led) and i cannot get a time server set.
Without a time set it won't sync and won't work.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

IPBS2[6.0.23 C], Bootcode[6.0.23], Hardware[IPBS2-Z3/1B1]

IPO is on 8.1.73

I have tried downgrading the base station to the v5 dect boot/firmware that comes with 8.1 but still had same problem so put it back on latest software

Do you have a time server set and working on the base station?

Yes time server set to IPO and is ok.

Not sure which bit of the above resolved but the light has just gone solid blue for first time! I have no idea what was missing before but it's in provisioning mode it is suddenly working! There were certainly a few settings mentioned above that don't appear in the manual so thanks!

I have two IPBSv2 without a time server and it syncs ok... steady blue LED
But with a time server it syncs quicker indeed

Syncing can take a verrrrry long time, I did had some install it took upto 30 minutes after a reboot. There were a lot of 3th party DECT systems around, maybe that has its impact on it....

Just tried adding the 2nd base station, but after I set the ip address and plug it into network I get one ping response and then pings time out... I connect it direct to laptop and pings are solid?! I have tried changing ip address incase it is blocked/duplicate but same happens. Used the cable from working base station too....

Decided to plow on with just the master but when trying to register phones I get "subscription failed" on phones. I have auto create users/exts on the IPO and on base station. I entered the park as SARI number and password 1234 as I have set on IPO. Is the authentication code on the DECT/System tab relevant here as that is a 8 digit number? (doesn't work if I try it on phone either)

I have disabled provisioning mode and the handsets now subscribe, however they then display "please login" despite users existing on the system with IMEI entered.

Cant quite believe how difficult to work with DECT R4 is......

Dial *0*number#

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Just tried that and I get "Not allowed" on the screen. The handset number shows in "anonymous" tab of base station and the number is set against the extension in IPO but it refuses to login....

The code is *M*xxx# where M is somewhere configured.
I usually is 0.
Did you turn off provision on the base station and the IPO?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Provisioning is off on provisioning tab of base station and set to preconfigured on IPO

Do users need to have login code set it IPO? I've got auto create users/exts disabled on the dect line but enabled on the IPO Lan tab. Authentication code set to 1234 on dect line and on dect tab of base station (though I'm guessing subscription isn't the issue as handset shows as anonymous)

What am I missing?!?

Start all over.
Turn off provisioning on the IPO and default the basestation.
Then follow the manual by the book for non provisioning.
