Decimals Not Showing .00

I have a (SQL2k) field set up as a decimal, 9 - 18,2 - and for some reason the values following the decimal places will not show when they are zero ($3.00, for example comes up as $3). I'm using ASPQMail - and they swear that they just pump out whatever is in the field (which is $3.00)

Anyone have any ideas about this?

Try this experiment, view some of the offending data under SQL Enterprise Manager. I'll bet you see the amounts with the trailing zeroes missing. Now query the same table from the SQL Query Analyzer and I'll bet you the numbers are now padded to the right to fill up the decimal positions. How does ASPQMail access the data? Stored Procedures, views, etc.?

I'm not sure. The publisher of ASPQMail (ServerObjects.com) has not replied to any of my support calls. If I could figure out a way to convert decimal to varchar, that would probably solve the issue - but everytime I try I get overflows....

Can't you use use 'CAST(DecimalField AS VARCHAR)' to change DECIMAL to VARCHAR...
